Treehouse Fairies of Merrywood is a magical tale of Tessa and her fairy friends in the kingdom of Merrywood..
Each fairy has a unique gift of service that he or she brings to the kingdom. Merrywood is a fun and happy place for a fairy to live! The only worry the fairies have is losing their homes. For these tiny creatures, a house is so much more than a place to live. It is a Safeplace! Without a place to call 'home', a fairy is in grave danger. If a house is lost or destroyed, the fairy MUST find a new one before the next moon rises or be lost forever!
With each Treehouse of Fairies of Merrywood storybook, we provide a basic fairy house. This is yours to decorate! Fairies love pretty things, and the more you decorate your house, the happier a wandering fairy will be!

How the Concept Began...
Once upon a time, there was a small girl named Madeline-Claire. Madeline and her mother loved fairies. They read about fairies, talked about fairies, and looked for fairies around every corner. Sometimes they even saw that broken twig or moss bed that meant a fairy had been there! So one day, Madeline said, "Mama, I bet if we built a house for a fairy, one might come to visit us!"
So that is just what they did! One spring day, Madeline and her parents set out to collect what they needed. Knowing that most fairies are woodland creatures, they planned to gather only items found in nature. This would surely make a fairy feel right at home!
They spent an entire afternoon in the Great Outdoors, gathering sticks, flowers, river stones, moss, and toadstools. By the end of the day, they had a bag full of fairy house materials. Madeline and her daddy carefully glued the items on a wooden base. When they were finished, Madeline was delighted! She now had a perfectly snug, perfectly natural home for a fairy. All she had to do now was watch and wait!
Madeline's daddy reminded her that most magical creatures prefer to travel by night, so she reluctantly went to sleep. First thing the next morning, Madeline flew downstairs, out the back door, and down to the great oak tree where they had left the fairy house. Once there, she stopped, her eyes wide. There, right in the middle of the fairy house, was a tiny beribboned bottle of fairy dust. She could hardly believe her eyes. She ran back to the house calling, "Mama, they came! The fairies came!"
After this, the fairies continued to leave Madeline a trinket now and then. She would find a bracelet made of clover, a miniature book, a candy treat, or a sprinkling of fairy dust. Some time later, Madeline came to find a tiny fairy dressed in pink petals and a leaf collar waiting for her in the house. Her fairy had found a home!
