This site hopes to offer information on thousands of different species that live in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The aim and contents of this portal are to help identify the creatures we encounter in our every day lives, providing a brief description of the animal in hopes to educate the public (and us) on our islands "critters". We will do everything in our power to provide correct and accurate information but please note that although we will go through great lengths to provide accurate information we hold no responsibility to proper identification. We also wont get too technical - but we will provide the scientific name for you to do more research on your own. 

 

If you see an animal under the "unidentified" link on each main page, please do send us an email with an ID as well if you see a misidentification. We are not scientists just geeks that love these rocks. Submit your own photos for ID below.
