The Museum of science and industry is an museum that shows how industry in Manchester has sustained our modern society. In the centre of the industrial city, the museum is in the perfect location for showing how the industry has influenced the world of science and our lives!

 

Opening time:

The museum opens from 10am-5pm apart from 24th, 25th and 26th December and New Year ’s Day.

 

Facilities

There is a gallery to explore the revolutionary discoveries in Manchester to air and spacecraft inventions which all happened in the heart of our industrial city.

Transport:

If you are travelling by car then follow the brown signposts from the main route into the city of Manchester, there is car parking at the location, but there is a £4.50 charge to park for a day. There is also disabled parking available. Why not take a scenic route towards the museum by following the heritage cycle route on your bike! There are bike spaces available to park your bikes. You can also travel by train; the nearest station is from Deansgate which is a 5 minute walk to the museum. Alternatively, travel by bus! The number 33 can be caught at the city centre or the number 2 metroshuttle bus which is free!!!
